No último domingo (9), após ser derrotado pelo Internacional, o Esmeraldino completou seis jogos sem vitória, sendo três derrotas e três empates. Com isso, o Goiás ocupa a 13ª colocação, com 38 pontos. A equipe goiana busca os ‘45 pontos mágicos’ para afastar qualquer possibilidade de rebaixamento.
No entanto, a sequência de jogos sem vencer vem preocupando o torcedor esmeraldino. Antes disso, o Verdão vinha de três vitórias consecutivas: Atlético-MG e Santos, fora de casa, e Atlético-GO, no clássico goiano. Na rodada passada, o Goiás sofreu derrota por 4 x 2. A saber, a última vez em que os goianos levaram quatro gols em uma só partida foi em 21 de janeiro de 2021.

Buscando encerrar sequência sem vitória, o Verdão recebe o Corinthians, no sábado (15), às 19h, no Estádio Hailé Pinheiro. A saber, seguindo a recomendação da Polícia Militar e do Ministério Público do Estado de Goiás (MPGO), somente a torcida mandante poderá estar presente no Estádio Hailé Pinheiro, em Goiânia.
Em resumo, tanto a Polícia Militar quanto o Ministério Público fizeram a recomendação. Assim, a justificativa foi a de “evitar atos de violência entre as torcidas organizadas dos dois times, que possuem histórico de grande rivalidade”. A partir disso, a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) tomou a decisão de acatar a orientação.
