De volta aos treinamentos, a comissão técnica do Goiás segue avaliando os jogadores. A diretoria esmeraldina, por sua vez, continua no mercado à procura de contratações pontuais, como a de Bruno Santos, que deve chegar a Goiânia na próxima semana.
Em contrapartida, o Esmeraldino já conta com uma baixa para o início do Campeonato Goiano. O polivalente Diego, um dos destaques da equipe em 2022, está no departamento médico. Segundo informações do repórter André Rodrigues, das Feras do Esporte, o meia vem se recuperando de uma tendinite e não deve jogar em janeiro.
A saber, Diego é o único jogador no departamento físico. Dessa forma, todo o elenco segue a rotina de treinamento visando a estreia do Esmeraldino no Campeonato Goiano contra a Aparecidense, na quinta-feira (12), às 20h30, no Estádio Hailé Pinheiro, em Goiânia.

Números de Diego pelo Goiás
O polivalente Diego renovou seu vínculo com o Verdão. Assim, o jogador de 27 anos passou a ter contrato até dezembro de 2024. Em resumo, desde 2021 defendendo as cores do Goiás, o atleta participou de 84 jogos, marcou dois gols e deu sete assistências.
De acordo com estatísticas do Sofascore, Diego tem 80% de eficácia nos passes. Essa porcentagem aumenta quando se trata de passes no próprio meio-campo, indo para 84%. A saber, o jogador foi titular em 34 partidas do Brasileirão de 2022, totalizando 2.904 minutos em campo no torneio.
