Após correr atrás do empate no duelo contra o Paysandu, na última quarta-feira (15), o Goiás garantiu mais um ponto importante fora de casa. Desse modo, o resultado foi valorizado por Márcio Zanardi, que destacou que o time não merecia a derrota.
Em entrevista coletiva concedida após o jogo, o técnico falou sobre a bo postura da equipe esmeraldina. Além disso, Zanardi ressaltou a qualidade do seu elenco, dando destaque para os jogadores que vieram do banco e contribuíram para a construção do gol alviverde.

Buscou o empate na garra
“ A gente teve coragem, nosso time jogou, nosso time criou. Acho que o 2° tempo foi todo nosso, tivemos bastante finalizações. Não merecíamos ter perdido, mas pelo mal 1° tempo, acredito que esse empate é importante. Vir jogar aqui não é fácil porque eles querem ganhar a todo custo. Soubemos sofrer, competimos, empurrados eles e poderíamos ter saído com a vitória. […]
Eu acredito que essa Série B vai ser dessa forma até a última rodada. Então, nós estamos levando todos os jogos como se fosse uma final. Portanto, é ser inteligente e entender que vir jogar aqui é muito difícil. Eles criaram um clima muito hostil e a gente precisava vivenciar e criar essa casca. Por isso, eu saio daqui muito satisfeito. “
