Campanha do Atlético-GO no returno
Das 11 partidas disputadas na segunda metade da Série B, o Dragão empatou em duas ocasiões, perdeu outras duas vezes e venceu sete confrontos. Dentre as vitórias, quatro foram boas atuações fora de casa. Isso mostra a evolução da equipe neste quesito, já que durante o primeiro turno, o Atlético-GO só havia vencido um jogo como visitante (contra o líder Vitória). A saber, último triunfo aconteceu no domingo (1), diante do Ceará, na Arena Castelão.
Vale destacar a recuperação da defesa do Rubro-Negro, que deixou de ser a mais vazada da competição e se solidificou recentemente. É de salientar também que o Dragão sofreu apenas um gol nos últimos oito duelos. Por fim, as estatísticas de ataque figuram entre as melhores da competição. Atrás somente do vice-líder Sport, a equipe atleticana foi a segunda que mais balançou as redes entre os 20 clubes que disputam o torneio nacional, com 43 tentos.
