No Esmeraldino desde 2017, o arqueiro não renovou com o clube e quase foi para o rival colorado
Nas últimas semanas, com o fim de seu contrato com o Goiás, Marcelo Rangel foi especulado no Vila Nova. A princípio, no Colorado, o goleiro seria o ‘plano B’. Entretanto, o ‘plano A’, que era a renovação com Dênis Júnior, arqueiro titular do Tigre na Série B de 2023, deu certo.
Em resumo, Bahia e Vila Nova entraram num acordo e, com isso, Dênis Júnior permanece até o final de 2024. Assim, com o acerto entre os clubes, Marcelo Rangel saiu de pauta no time colorado antes mesmo de uma conversa formal entre as partes. Agora, de acordo com informações do jornalista Thiago Menezes, das Feras do Esporte, o goleiro deve disputar a Série C na próxima temporada.

Segundo o empresário do jogador, trata-se do Remo. Dessa forma, Rangel assinará contrato de um ano com o clube paraense. A saber, para 2024, o Leão já acertou as contratações dos zagueiros Ligger e Reniê, dos meias Camilo (ex-Mirassol) e Giovanni Pavani, do lateral-esquerdo Raimar, do lateral-direito Vidal (ex-Goiás), dos volantes Daniel e Renato Alves (ex-Aparecidense e Atlético-GO) e do atacante Ytalo.

Com o Verdão, o goleiro de 35 anos conquistou três títulos: duas vezes o Campeonato Goiano (2017 e 2018) e, mais recentemente, a Copa Verde (2023). Desde 2017 no Goiás, Marcelo Rangel participou, ao todo, de 120 jogos com a equipe principal. Nesta temporada, entre Brasileirão, Sul-Americana e Copa Verde, foram seis partidas. Agora, o arqueiro encerra seu contrato com o clube no dia 31 de dezembro.
