O volante Jhonny Lucas fez sua estreia pelo Goiás no último domingo (22), depois de cinco meses de espera por conta de atrasos na documentação vinda da Bélgica. “ Foi difícil passar por um momento desse [ficar sem jogar]. Ninguém esperava. Entretanto, tive paciência. Agradecer ao Goiás, ao Harlei Menezes, que me deu muito suporte, meu advogado, minha esposa e minha família, que não me deixou desistir, porque foi um período difícil. A espera foi dolorosa, mas o final foi feliz.
Por fim, pude ser regularizado e, assim, pude fazer minha estreia. Apesar de o campo não estar em belas condições, estreei com vitória com a camisa do Goiás. […] Acredito que foi uma estreia boa depois de tanto tempo sem jogar. Fiz o meu melhor e, o mais importante, é que somamos três pontos. […] Fico feliz com a confiança que a diretoria do Goiás depositou em mim.
Fiz uma boa meia temporada pelo Londrina. Quando o Goiás fez a proposta e me mostrou o projeto, não pensei duas vezes. Fiquei feliz pelos três anos de contrato. A partir disso, darei o meu melhor para colocar o Goiás onde merece estar, vencer títulos e ficar na parte de cima da tabela.”
