Clubes goianos definem se participam ou não da Copa Verde; confira
Saiba o posicionamento das equipes goianas
Com início previsto para o dia 25 de outubro, a edição de 2022 da Copa Verde não contar, a princípio, com a participação de equipes goianas. Na manhã desta quarta-feira (24), a CBF divulgou detalhes da competição, que conta com 24 times credenciados e que devem confirmar até sexta-feira (26), às 12h, a participação ou não. Antes disso, os clubes goianos se posicionaram quanto a presença no torneio, porém Aparecidense, Atlético-GO, Goiás, Grêmio Anapólis e Vila Nova optaram por não competir nesta edição.
Aparecidense
Semifinalista em 2016, a Aparecidense se manifestou por meio de seu presidente Elvis Mendes, que falou de forma exclusiva com as Feras do Esporte, da BandNews Goiás:
“Financeiramente, ela não passa nem perto do que a Copa do Brasil oferece. Antes, quando disputamos a Copa Verde, não tinha nenhum valor financeiro. Assim, a CBF custeava somente viagem e hospedagem. Caso o clube tenha um elenco que consiga disputar dois campeonatos e conciliar isso, podemos jogar. A princípio, para a Aparecidense, pode ser uma boa opção para dar mais visibilidade, tanto para o clube quanto para os jogadores. Entretanto, financeiramente não compensa. Portanto, temos que avaliar o convite quando vier, se vier. Tendo a oportunidade, nós vamos querer disputar, com certeza. Contudo, a questão financeira para um clube como a Aparecidense conta muito.”
Atlético-GO
Eliminado na última edição para o Brasiliense em sua primeira participação, o Atlético-GO optou por não participar nesta edição.
Goiás
Semifinalista em 2019, o Goiás não participará da edição da Copa Verde. Na temporada, o Esmeraldino apenas participou da Copa do Brasil em competição mata-mata.
Grêmio Anápolis
Eliminado na 1ª fase da Série D, o Grêmio Anápolis optou por não participar por conta da divulgação ‘tardia’ do calendário. Com isso, inviabiliza a participação do clube, segundo informações trazida por Bruno Daniel, das Feras do Esporte.
Vila Nova
Atual vice-campeão da Copa Verde, o Vila Nova se pronunciou através de seu vice-presidente Leandro Bittar:
“Na nossa visão, mais uma vez, a maneira como a CBF conduz o torneio só desvaloriza e desprestigia a competição. É preciso trata-la com mais seriedade se é que a intenção seja fortalecer o campeonato, e não somente atender a pressão de um ou outro clube como parece que foi feito. Clubes como o Vila Nova terão boa parte dos contratos com os atletas encerrados ao término da Série B e sem dúvida isso será levado em consideração por nós.”
