Nas últimas semanas, Jair Ventura e a diretoria do Goiás vinham se reunindo para decidir o futuro do treinador. Assim, como esperado, após o encerramento da temporada neste domingo (13), em jogo contra o São Paulo, o técnico bateu o martelo: não fica. A informação foi dada pelo presidente Paulo Rogério Pinheiro.
“ Infelizmente não conseguimos chegar a um acordo. De toda forma, quero agradecer a você e a toda comissão técnica. Treinador jovem e moderno. Um dia, em pouco tempo, o Goiás vai dar conta de alçar voos e ter recursos financeiros para que consigamos segurar nossos craques. Vocês foram fundamentais para o Goiás. Nosso clube sempre estará de portas abertas para vocês”, afirmou o presidente Paulo Rogério Pinheiro.

Números de Jair Ventura no comando do Goiás
Em resumo, o técnico chegou ao time goiano em abril deste ano. Com Jair Ventura, em 40 jogos, sendo 36 no Brasileirão e quatro na Copa do Brasil, o Esmeraldino teve 12 vitórias, 13 empates e 15 derrotas. Além disso, a equipe marcou 41 gols e sofreu outros 54.
Dessa forma, o comandante encerra sua passagem pelo Esmeraldino com 40,83% de aproveitamento. Agora o Goiás entra no mercado para avaliar a contratação de outro técnico. A saber, o plantel deve se reapresentar no dia 15 de dezembro.
