Na noite desta quarta-feira (1), Atlético-GO e Novorizontino enfrentaram pela 35ª rodada da Série B. Dessa maneira, o Dragão buscou a vitória em casa, mas acabou não saindo do empate por 2 x 2 com o Tigre. Com o resultado, o clube paulista chega aos 57 pontos, na 4ª colocação da tabela. Enquanto isso, o Rubro-Negro sobe para a vice-liderança provisória até o fim da rodada, com 60 pontos ganhos.

1° tempo
A partida começou com um ritmo truncado e equilibrado entre as equipes. O Novorizontino buscava seu espaço em campo, enquanto o Atlético-GO tentava fazer prevalecer seu domínio. Assim, a primeira chegada foi dos donos da casa, aos 8′. Lucas Esteves aproveitou o rebote na área do Tigre e finalizou no gol com perigo. Os visitantes continuaram em cima e responderam as investidas aos 15′. Após uma boa defesa de Ronaldo no chute de Felipe Marques e um bate rebate na área, Rômulo finalizou com desvio para abrir o placar: 0 x 1 Novorizontino. O gol chegou a ser revisado pelo VAR, mas foi validado.
Não demorou muito para que o Rubro-Negro também chegasse ao ataque. Aos 19′, Baralhas quase marcou de fora da área, mas obrigou Jordi a se esticar para defender. Já aos 22′, o Dragão não desperdiçou a chance. Em uma ótima jogada construída pelo lado direito, Kelvin cruzou para área, o goleiro do Tigre não consegue achar a bola e ela sobra para Luiz Fernando empurrar para as redes e empatar para o Atlético-GO: 1 x 1. Assim como o primeiro gol, esse também foi analisado pelo árbitro de vídeo por mais de dois minutos, mas também foi confirmado.
Após esse momento, o Rubro-Negro buscava pressionar, mas o Novorizontino também estava perto do resultado. Aos 41′ foi a vez de Rômulo aparecer mais uma vez como uma peça ofensiva fundamental e marcar um golaço de fora da área, ampliando para o Aurinegro: 1 x 2. A chuva apertou nos minutos finais e, mesmo com cinco minutos de acréscimos, nenhuma chance de maior perigo surgiu.
2° tempo
A segunda etapa começou com um ritmo frenético, assim como foi grande parte do 1° tempo. Logo aos 2′, Alix aproveitou a cobrança de falta de Shaylon e deixou o marcador igual mais uma vez: 2 x 2. Nos minutos seguintes, o Atlético-GO quase virou com Gustavo Coutinho, que acertou a trave aos 9′ e Shaylon que explodiu a bola no travessão aos 11′. Com o domínio da partida e mais perto do gol no 2° tempo, o Dragão não conseguiu furar o bloqueio defensivo da equipe paulista. Aos 36′, Lucas Esteves cobrou uma excelente falta e obrigou Jordi e trabalhar. A bola explodiu no travessão e Matheus Peixoto não aproveitou o rebote, mandado para fora.
Já os instantes finais foram eletrizantes e marcados por muita polêmica. No último minuto, aos 57′, Ronaldo derrubou Aylon na área em um lance controverso. Depois de uma análise minuciosa no VAR, o juiz assinalou o pênalti sob muito protesto somente aos 60′. Porém, o atacante Ronaldo cobrou fraco e o goleiro atleticano realizou uma defesa importantíssima com os pés. Logo após o apito final, uma grande confusão foi instalada em campo entre funcionários do Atlético-GO e o árbitro, mas foi contida pela segurança.

Agora, o Rubro-Negro volta a campo na sexta-feira (10), às 21h30. Na oportunidade, o Dragão visita o Sport em jogo válido pela 36ª rodada da Série B. Pouco depois, o Novorizontino recebe o líder Vitória no domingo (12), às 18h (todos em horário de Brasília).
