O Verdão abriu o placar logo no primeiro minuto. Diego Gonçalves ficou com o rebote dentro da área e chutou para o gol: 1 x 0. Aos 7’, Sander arriscou de longe, e Márcio Vitor conseguiu espalmar. Na sequência, na cobrança de escanteio, Nicolas cabeçeou, e a bola bateu na trave. No rebote, bem posicionado novamente, Diego Gonçalves mandou para as redes: 2 x 0.
Mesmo construindo boa vantagem no placar, o Goiás seguiu dominando a partida. Com isso, o Grêmio Anápolis pouco chegou na área do Esmeraldino. No entanto, aos 38’, Marcos Antônio arriscou de longe, e levou perigo ao goleiro Tadeu. A primeira etapa terminou com vitória parcial dos donos da casa.

Já no primeiro minuto, Nicolas recebeu, girou e bateu. Entretanto, o goleiro da Raposa ficou com a bola. Aos 6’, João Celeri fez boa jogada, mas, na hora hora da finalização, chutou mal. No minuto seguinte, Bruno Santos quase fez um gol contra a favor do Grêmio Anápolis. Em resumo, a equipe anapolina ensaiou uma reação, mas sem sucesso.
