A saber, a Câmara Municipal de Goiânia destinou emendas parlamentares para o Vila Nova que totalizam mais de um milhão de reais. No entanto, o presidente Hugo Jorge Bravo explicou que esta verba é revertida para os projetos sociais realizados pela associação Nação Colorada.
O presidente destacou que um dos objetivos desta diretoria é “fazer com que o Vila Nova tenha uma participação social cada vez maior”. Sendo assim, Hugo Jorge Bravo afirmou que em 2021 o clube criou a associação Nação Colorada, para que em cooperação com o Vila Nova, ela fomentasse ações sociais. “Não somente relacionadas ao futebol, mas também aos esportes olímpicos e ao atendimento de escolinhas para crianças carentes”.
Além disso, ele ainda destacou o trabalho do clube colorado com o Sesc, que atende mais de 200 crianças. Ademais, Hugo Jorge Bravo afirmou que a associação Nação Colorada não tem fins lucrativos e é de utilidade pública, “assim como é o Vila Nova“.
Por fim, Hugo ressaltou que cerca de 1 milhão e 300 mil reais foram destinados para a compra de um ônibus que será usado no deslocamento dos jovens amparados pela Nação Colorada até as competições. Além disso, o presidente ainda completou que o dinheiro não cobrirá o gasto total, mas que a associação completará o valor. Sendo assim, na coletiva o presidente agradeceu ao presidente da Câmara Romário Policarpo “por atender uma demanda social”.
Projetos em andamento no Vila Nova
Posteriormente, Hugo Jorge Bravo comentou sobre outros projetos do clube. O presidente destacou que na última segunda-feira (19), durante a partida contra o Goiânia, o Tigrão recebeu o Movimento Lixo Zero, “mais um trabalho social inaugurado, com a coleta seletiva dos lixos aqui [no estádio].
Além disso, em cooperação com a Saneago, o Vila Nova esta desenvolvendo um projeto para recuperar o manancial do Rio Meia Ponte e também para reflorestar todo o centro de treinamento. Ademais, Hugo ainda garantiu que o clube colorado está de portas abertas para as “pessoas que acreditarem que é possível, através do esporte, fazer a diferença”. Por fim, ele afirmou: “nenhum centavo que ele destinar aqui dentro vai ter outro destino que não seja o fomento da prática esportiva. Aqui não se desvia um real”.

No entanto, o presidente da Câmara Romário Policarpo, com exclusividade para a BandNews Goiânia, comentou sobre o assunto. A princípio, o profissional destacou que apesar de ter todos as características necessárias, a Nação Colorada ainda não é considerado uma entidade de utilidade pública.
