“ Sabemos que o Brasil é muito grande e, dessa forma, possui logísticas difíceis. Entretanto, isso não é desculpa para ninguém. Estamos preparado para fazer o nosso melhor diante do União, fazer um grande jogo. Sabemos também que não vai ser fácil e, dessa forma, precisamos estar bem preparados e bem concentrados. […] A gente sabe que será um jogo difícil, como foi no ano passado, quando tomamos uma pressão [do Atlético de Alagoinhas, da Bahia, pela Copa do Brasil de 2023].
No entanto, o nosso time vem numa crescente. Então, temos que nos apegar nisso e fazer o nosso melhor, desempenhar bem o que a gente tem feito nos últimos jogos. Quem sabe, assim, a gente consiga uma tranquilidade maior nos jogos. Em contrapartida, a equipe do União vem muito bem no campeonato estadual. Com isso, temos que estar atentos o máximo possível, porque o jogo de mata-mata vale muito.”

“ Temos a vontade de empate, mas também não podemos nos apegar a isso. Assim, precisamos buscar vencer a partida e continuar nossa sequência de vitórias, o que é importante para o decorrer da temporada. Temos que buscar passar de fase, porque a Copa do Brasil é um campeonato muito importante para o clube e para nós também. […] O empate só pode ser favorável nos últimos minutos.
Temos que ter essa atenção a mais para não tomar o gol e acabar sendo eliminado nos últimos minutos. No entanto, o foco não é buscar empate, mas, sim, buscar a vitória. Sabemos que a Copa do Brasil é difícil. Além disso, o primeiro jogo é difícil, ainda mais fora de casa, com a pressão do adversário que vem muito bem. Portamos, precisamos estar focado, não só os 90 minutos como também nos acréscimos, que podem ser determinantes para o resultado final.
