Nesta terça-feira (5), pelo Grupo F, o Atlético-GO recebeu a LDU, de Quito (Equador), na estreia das equipes nesta Copa Sul-Americana de 2022. 1º tempo
Antes de mais nada, os goianos pressionaram os rivais e quase abriram o placar. Aos 10’, Marlon Freitas bateu cruzado, e a bola bateu a rede, mas pelo lado de fora. Posteriormente, aos 12’, novamente o capitão do Atlético teve grande chance, porém o goleiro Gonzalo Falcón salvou. Depois, a equipe equatoriana tentou equilibrar o jogo. Assim, aos 29’, Corozo cobrou falta e mandou direto para fora. Em resposta, Léo Pereira roubou a bola e disparou em velocidade.
No entanto, o atacante do Dragão não pegou bem na hora da finalização, aos 32’. A LDU teve a chance de inaugurar o marcador. Depois de cobrança de escanteio, Caicedo desviou de cabeça no primeiro poste, e Luan Polli conseguiu salvar em cima da linha, aos 36’. Posteriormente, em jogada ensaiada, Jorginho tocou para Hayner chutar forte e ampliar a vantagem, aos 41’.
