No domingo (5), Vila Nova e Vitória se enfrentam pela 35ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. A partida acontece no Estádio Manoel Barradas (Barradão), em Salvador, e começa a partir das 18h. A princípio, Doma analisou como equipe chega para o confronto entre Vila Nova e Vitória:
“Primeiramente é fazer o que a gente trabalhou lá com o Higo. […] E aguentar, nesse sentido psicológico. Mentalmente a gente tá muito forte. A gente sabe da pressão que vai ser, mas assim como a gente vai sofrer uma pressão aqui, nossos adversários sofrem também na nossa casa. Então é mais essa questão mental e ir lidando com o jogo. […] E a gente sabe da dificuldade do jogo aqui, mas a gente tá bem confiante e encarando mais uma vez como uma final, para a gente se manter vivo na competição”.
Agora, pensando na probabilidade do acesso, o jogador do Vila Nova afirmou:
“Para não depender de uma ou outra possibilidade, de ficar muito arriscado essa questão do acesso, a gente pensa nas quatro vitórias. Claro que tem essa possibilidade de um empate, mas a gente tá focado nessas quatro vitórias”.
Por fim, ele destacou a importância da vitória em cima do Atlético-GO, no clássico:
“Desde vários jogos atrás, a gente já tá encarando como uma final todos os jogos. Mas agora, realmente é mais uma final, como foi o jogo contra o Atlético. […] Primeiro que a gente vem vivo. Segundo que ganhar o clássico, ainda mais da forma que foi, acreditando até o final, um gol no último minuto praticamente, a gente vem confiante. E sabendo que se a gente passar por uma adversidade durante o jogo, a gente pode reverter, como reverteu contra o Atlético. Então a gente vem muito forte para esse jogo por conta disso”.
