Na segunda-feira (27), a repórter Ana Livia Dias, das Feras do Esporte, conversou com o Gestor de Esportes Olímpicos do Vila Nova. Em entrevista, Willian Mendes comentou as expectativas do Colorado no Brasileirão Feminino A2 e projetou o futuro da modalidade.
A saber, a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) divulgou os grupos e o regulamento do Brasileirão Feminino A2 na última semana. O Vila Nova pertence ao Grupo B, junto ao Fortaleza, Esmac, Botafogo-PB, Sport, UDA, JC e 3B.
Pela tabela, a estreia do Colorado acontece no dia 16/04, domingo, contra o Sport Recife. Em seguida, em casa, a equipe goiana enfrenta o Botafogo-PB, no dia 22/04.
Gestor comenta objetivo do Vila Nova na temporada
Na última temporada, o time conseguiu o principal foco: o acesso. Segundo Willian, neste ano, o objetivo é “a permanência”. – Se a gente ficar em 12°, é a nossa meta, manter. Contudo, com as contratações, se o time der liga, daqui a uns dias eu posso falar ‘a gente pode chegar mais a frente”. Concluiu.
“O futebol feminino é um caminho sem volta. Eu não sou obrigado a gostar, mas não tem como retornar mais [o avanço da modalidade]. O que falta aqui em Goiás, no Centro-Oeste e no Norte é calendário e políticas públicas efetivas voltadas à real valorização da mulher no futebol. Fala-se muito da questão técnica, mas essas meninas não tiveram uma iniciação esportiva, um campeonato de base. Há quantos anos não temos campeonato de base em Goiás? Tentamos manter uma equipe no Vila, mas não tem jogo.”
Por fim, o gestor do Vila Nova apontou que os clubes vão ter que entrar nessa linha. “Até 2027 todos os clubes, até a Série D, vão ter uma equipe feminina. Se isso é bom ou ruim, o tempo nos falará. O que falta é a vontade de fazer e acreditar.”
