Antes de mais nada, iniciando as partidas de volta da 3ª fase da Copa do Brasil, o Paysandu recebeu o Fluminense nesta terça-feira (25), no Mangueirão, e foi derrotado por 3 x 0. Germán Cano, Keno e John Kennedy marcaram os gols. Antes disso, no jogo de ida, a equipe paraense também havia perdido.
Na ocasião, o revés também foi por 3 x 0. No Maracanã, Nino, Keno e Felipe Melo balançaram as redes para o Flu. Com isso, o placar agregado ficou em 6 x 0. A saber, o Goiás enfrenta o Paysandu na final da Copa Verde, em jogos de ida e volta. No entanto, a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) ainda não definiu as datas.
A princípio, as partidas devem acontecer nos dias 17 e 31 de maio. Em resumo, o Papão ainda joga a semifinal do Campeonato Paraense. A partida de volta acontece neste sábado (29), diante do Águia de Marabá, equipe que eliminou o Goiás na 2ª fase da Copa do Brasil após disputa de pênaltis. No duelo de ida da semifinal do Parazão, o Paysandu venceu por 1 x 0.
