Na noite da última quarta-feira (31), o Esmeraldino superou o Paysandu (4 x 1 no placar agregado) e venceu a Copa Verde. Com isso, a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) divulgou sobre as premiações do torneio, e Goiás receberá valor.
A saber, a entidade máxima do futebol declarou que investiu R$ 6 milhões na competição, com investimento e premiações recordes. Dessa forma, o Goiás receberá R$ 400 mil, o dobro do valor pago no ano passado ao campeão. Além disso, o Esmeraldino também garantiu vaga direta na 3ª fase da Copa do Brasil de 2024.
Em resumo, em 2023, a CBF pagou R$ 2,1 milhão para os clubes que disputaram essa fase da competição nacional. Por fim, o Paysandu, vice-campeão da Copa Verde, ganhará R$ 200 mil em premiação.

“A Copa Verde já virou tradição no futebol brasileiro e é um orgulho para a CBF. Primeiramente, o Esmeraldino volta a campo neste domingo (4), às 18h30, em duelo contra o Cuiabá, pela 9ª rodada do Brasileirão, em casa. Trata-se de um confronto direto, já que o Goiás tem sete pontos enquanto o Dourado tem oito.
Posteriormente, os goianos mudam a chave e voltam a focar na Sul-Americana. Assim, o Verdão recebe o Gimnasia La Plata, da Argentina, no dia 8, às 19h. Por fim, para fechar a sequência em casa, em 11 de junho, encara o Fluminense, às 18h30 (todos em horário de Brasília), no Estádio Hailé Pinheiro, em Goiânia, novamente pelo Brasileirão.
