Com a permanência na Série B assegurada para 2025, o Goiás começa a colocar em prática o planejamento para a temporada seguinte. A saber, o Esmeraldino já promoveu mudanças no comando técnico da equipe e agora mira a manutenção do elenco.
Em meio à negociações de renovação e permanência de jogadores que já estão no clube, o Verdão encaminha a chegada de reforços já para o início do Campeonato Goiano, previsto para 15 de janeiro.
Dessa maneira, o primeiro atleta confirmado para agregar o grupo a partir do próximo calendário é Juninho, ex-América-MG. Depois de nove temporadas pelo Coelho, o volante de 37 anos está de pré-contrato, válido por dois anos, assinado com o Goiás.

Trajetória de Juninho
Natural de Goiânia, o volante iniciou sua carreira em 2012 no Rio Verde, time do interior do estado de Goiás, mas não chegou a vestir as cores de nenhum clube da capital. Depois, o atleta defendeu o Mogi Mirim e alternou algumas passagens pelo Athletico Paranaense ao longo dos anos.
Além disso, Juninho também atuou pela Ponte Preta e Ferroviária antes de se transferir para o América-MG, em 2016. Primeiramente, ele chegou ao Coelho por meio de um empréstimo, mas acabou acertando sua ida definitiva no início de 2017.
Assim, ele permaneceu na equipe mineira por nove anos e foi campeão da Série B também em 2017. No meio da trajetória, o jogador teve uma rápida passagem pelo Estoril Praia, de Portugal, na temporada 19/20. Porém, entrou em campo em apenas três oportunidades e balançou as redes uma vez.
Em resumo, ele realizou 437 jogos, com 37 gols e 31 assistências pelo Alviverde. Já em toda a carreira, Juninho tem 42 tentos e 34 passes em 565 partidas. Sua partida de despedida do América-MG será neste domingo (24), contra o Brusque.
